Jobs boost at new Lincoln
car supermarket
Over 30 jobs are being created in Lincoln with the launch
of a new Sanderson Motorhouse used car supermarket.
CD Bramall, the UK's second largest car dealership group
has extensively refurbished and redeveloped the site, on
Newark Road, which will open to the public on February
1st.
The new positions at the dealership, which range from
valeters and technicians to sales people and sales managers,
will be filled by applicants from throughout Lincoln and
internally.
Commenting on the investment, CD Bramall's chief executive,
Peter Jones said: "This is an exciting time for a
lot of people here at CD Bramall. Lincoln is a key location
for us and the company's investment in the region is testament
to our confidence in the local economy. I'm sure that customers
will be spoilt for choice with a massive range of over
300 used cars to choose from."
The three and a half acre site was developed by Lindsey
Securities in the early 1990s and has over 10,000 sq ft
of showroom space. Robin Taylor, director of Lindsey Securities
said: "There has been considerable interest in the
Newark Road site and I am delighted that we have attracted
such a high calibre company as CD Bramall. They have exciting
plans for Lincoln and we wish them every success in this
new operation."
The new Sanderson Motorhouse will be headed up by Lincoln
man, Brendan Hennessy.
This
is seen as the arrival of the first big car supermarket
that Lincoln has seen. The fact that CD Bramall has chosen
to open here shows the growing confidence of businesses
in what is an expanding area.
